Punjabi Mahasabha is a non-political organisation and it would work to unite the Punjabi community so that no political party could ignore Punjabis.. Punjabi Mahasabha president Ashok Mehta, Haryana, said five lakh members would be enrolled in the state and units of the mahasabha would be formed up to block level Naveen Gulati as president of Ambala district unit of the mahasabha and Ashwani Sareen as secretary.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda had given representation to the Punjabi community not only in his Cabinet, posts of chairman of boards and corporations, state public service commission but also in his personal staff.

The income of Punjabi Mahasabha Haryana shall be applied solely towards the promotion of the objects of the society and no portion of there of shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly to the members of the society.

All the members of Punjabi Mahasabha Haryana shall not be appointed on salary and no remuneration shall be given by the society to any member of society except repayment of out of pocket expenses and interest on money lent or rent for premises/ demises to the society.

The Punjabi Mahasabha Haryana by its constitution is required to apply its profits if any or other income in promoting its objects.

If upon the winding up or dissolution of the society there remains after satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities and property what so ever, the same shall not be paid to or distribution among the members of the Punjabi Mahasabha Haryana, but shall be given or transferred to some other institution having objects similar to the objects of the society to be determined by the members of the Punjabi Mahasabha Haryana at or before the time of dissolution.
